Answer

How do LLMs choose which brands to mention?

LLMs recommend brands based on patterns learned from training data and, increasingly, live retrieval: what gets mentioned consistently, in credible contexts, alongside the problem someone is asking about. Frequency and consistency across independent sources matter more than any single page.

The short answer

A model has no way to "know" your product beyond what's written about it somewhere it can read. If your product shows up in genuine discussions, comparisons, and reviews that describe the same problem and the same solution consistently, that pattern is what gets surfaced when someone asks. A single polished landing page rarely outweighs an absence everywhere else.
