What Wally collects, and what it does not.
Wally helps you compare prices, remember purchases, and plan gifts. This policy explains the data each optional connection provides and how to disconnect or ask for deletion.
Your account
Signing in on wally.ai or in the Chrome extension creates the same Wally account. We store your email, name, and a session so both surfaces stay signed in. Price checks and shared saves still work without an account. Connecting mail or contacts is not on yet; when it is, you will opt in from the account page.
On your device
Recent saves (product title, the price you saw, better-priced store, dollar amount) are stored in Chrome local storage on this computer. You can clear them from the extension settings. Wally does not build a cross-site taste profile.
When a product is detected
The extension sends the product title, the price shown on the page, and retailer product IDs when they are on the page (Amazon ASIN, Walmart item id, GTIN/UPC) to wally.ai, which checks third-party price indexes and returns better-priced store links. We cache those offers by product id so a later visit can show the last known better price immediately. We log the query, source price, and result counts to operate and debug the service. If you are signed in, the search can be tied to your account. We do not sell this data.
Google Contacts
If you choose Connect Google Contacts, Wally reads contact names, email addresses, and birthdays from Google Contacts. We use this only to show your birthday list and to support future gift reminders and recommendations for people you already know. You can disconnect Google access from your Google Account and ask us to delete this data by contacting Wally. We do not sell Contacts data or use it for ads.
Google Mail (optional)
If you choose Connect Google Mail, the Gmail read-only permission permits Wally to read your mailbox. Wally uses that permission only to identify purchase receipts and order details: the merchant, items, prices, order date, and order identifier. We do not retain unrelated email content. Wally will not send, delete, or modify email; sell Google user data; use it for ads; or allow humans to read it except when necessary to provide support at your request. You can disconnect at any time from Wally or your Google Account. Wally’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
Retention, security, and deletion
We retain connected-data records only while your Wally account or the relevant connection remains active, except where a longer period is required by law. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is limited to systems that operate Wally. Disconnecting a connection stops future collection and deletes the related stored connection data; account deletion requests remove associated account and connection data from active systems.
Shared save links
If you share a save, wally.ai stores a public page at /s/<id> with the product title, this store’s price, the better-priced store, that store’s price, and dollars saved — so the link can unfurl in a chat. Anyone with the link can view it. No account is required. We do not put your email, the product page URL, or other browsing history on that page.
What we do not do
Wally does not apply coupon codes, does not inject on Gmail / social feeds / docs, and does not require an account to check a price or view a shared save.
